Regular cleaning of the interior of your car will surely improve the air quality in the one you’re driving. It takes about 90 minutes to clean the whole interior.
Before cleaning the car, collect all the trash from the sections of flooring, cup holders, under the seats, in the seat cracks, and seat pockets and discard it. This can be a good chance to sort out the belongings that have been overlooked in the car.
Remove the floor mats out of the car and shake them out, so that the loose dust which is accumulated on it can be easily removed. This will make vacuuming a lot simpler. Also clean the mats with soap water and let it dry completely before reinstalling them.
Use a vacuum cleaner to clean every area of the car i.e. wherever you can get the nozzle, like the floor, under the pedals, side doors panels, front and back seats, etc.
We should be very careful while cleaning the tough-to-clean cloth seat. The more fluid cleaning items you use, the moister the seats would become. The fabrics would absorb the excess of moisture and won’t dry completely, leaving your car with the damp smell. To limit the risk of wet car seats, sprinkle some baking soda on the seats. After a few hours, vacuum the baking soda, and then your car would smell fresh.
Cup holders can hold grime. You can clean it by using a cotton swab or a wet cloth dipped in a little cleaning solution. In certain vehicles, the whole cup holder is removable for easier cleaning.
If you notice any stains on the seats or on the floor covering, mix equal amounts of water and vinegar and apply the mixture on the stained area and let it stay for 15 minutes. Then clean it off with a wet fabric. You can also use a stain remover product to remove the stains.
In case if you have used a lot of stain removal products on your seats, then it would be good if you air out the car. If it is a bright day, you can open all the doors and windows of your car so that there would be a free flow of fresh air into the interiors of the car.
Dashboards are one of the dustiest areas in your car. Regardless of whether your dashboard is made up of vinyl, leather, or any other material, it is one of the most difficult parts of the interior to clean.
You should clean all the dust on the dashboard, before applying any cleaning product. Later you can also apply an interior dressing that would be suitable for the material to shield it from cracking or fading from exposure to sunlight.
